Slow Program Start Up

Hello!

The last upgrade I received of my business management software has caused
the program to be extrememly slow when started from a thick client (Windows
XP Pro SP 2 on Dell Optiplex GX270). After it's up and running, it moves
along just fine. We are running 1 GB of RAM (Upgraded from 256 MB). The
upgrade did not make a difference.

I have consulted with the company that makes the software. They told me
that the programmers are starting to use JAVA more than before and that may
be cause of our slowness. I would be willing to wait a few extra seconds
when the machine is starting up. Is there a way I can "preload" the
software, so when I need it, it opens right up?

Thank you for your time!
Nathan

Place a shortcut in
C:\Documents and Settings\Your Name Here\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
or
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
the program will starte when you boot or log on.
