Slow performance after apply sp4

Hi,

we have a Windows 2000 Standard running Exchange 2000. After apply the sP4 the server performance is very slow, when i open an application allways appears with the status not responding in the task manager during the execution, and the Exchange user are feelling slowly during the usual operations in the Outlook.
The processor utlization is down and the memory is 1 GB.

Hi,
I would recommend to call microsoft Performance
to check which service or process is taking the Too much of processor or
memory

Other wise you try simply uninstalling SP4 and then install it back

What kind of objects do you suggest to view in the performance monitor?

Hi,

The objects you require is Process and the counter is process time, page
pool bytes


However it will only show you the service but not the processes running
inside the service and their handle

For that performnace team will use processexplorer tool and they will ready
the memory bytes and handle count

Many technical things for which one should have a deep Knowledge
