slow pages

I finished designing my site. I am getting ready to publish, but I am
checking the reports on slow pages and all my pages show as slow, from 38 sec
on basic pages with a banner, a FP theme and a few images, to 1300 sec on a
56k modem on a video sample. How can I make them faster? Specially the video
sample, is there a rule of thumb on how the video should be to make it good
quality and fast downloading? It is currently a 4.24 MB file.wmv. I really
need to have samples on my web.

Not a FP issue
- for that size media file you should be using a host w/ streaming media support,
or a different media format

Thank you I found a server that will support my videos! and I did download
the program from the site you gave me.
