slow login

Hello there,
Can someone explain me what goes on at login for a windows 2000
machine on an AD domain and what can I do to speed it up? It takes
about 10 minutes after typing username and password.
I disabled all unnecessary services with msconfig.
Thank you, T

Hello Tester,

Slow Domain logons very often depends on DNS configuration, make sure the
workstations use only the Domain internal DNS server, NO external ones like
the ISP's DNS server.

Also if they have big profiles on a network share, if used, the copying can
take long time, depending on the size.

Best regards
