Slow loading windows

I did post same question before but cant find it at all.

Just having major problems when it loading up windows it changes background
3 times and the desktop items and start menu dosent show up for 20secs in the
process of showing the windows enter why is this?? I have done all usal
things eg.Defrag,disk clean up, and error checker
and have very very basic understanding of windows so any answers need be be
extremly well explained.
Any ideas??

Have you thought about using OE as your newsreader?
