My computer running Vista is ICS host and the other computer (WinXP) is ICS
client. From time to time my internet conection is starting to run very
slow. Ping times are above 2-3 sec. All I have to do then is to diseable LAN
and then even immediately reenable it. Two-three sec later everything is
working fine. Why it's doing so.

There seem to be numerous problems getting Vista to play well with others.
You might try disabling some "features":

- Disable IPv6 (Most ISP's don't support it)

- Disable Offline Files Service (If you aren't using it)

- Disable Application Layer Gateway Service (usually totally unnecessary on
a home LAN)

- Disable Receive Window Auto-Tuning (very problematic)

- Make sure you've got the latest drivers for your hardware (Important!)

- Temporarily disable McAfee or Norton to see if they're interfering (often
problematic)

However, without more detailed information about your configuration, we
can't be more helpful. In addition, MANY people are having problems similar
to yours. There seems to be a design flaw or serious bug, especially with
regard to WDS and NLA, that slows things up.
