slow computer

got xp - takes over 10 minutes to start up and its really
really slow.. defragged - etc virus scanned etc but
still slow - what can I do??

First look at msconfig. To get to that click on start, run and then type msconfig and click on OK. Click on start up tab and see what is running at start up. You can uncheck one at a time to see which one is slowing your machine down. Have a look at this site for information on start up items. http://www.greatis.com/regrun3appdatabase.ht
You may need to run a spyware and adaware program also.
