slow boot

I have a slow boot . If I log in just after the boot, some items will not
load in on the taskbar. I have to log off and log back in everytime to get
all the items in taskbar or wait about 5 minuits before logging in.
 
I see you have Norton. Is it up to date? Have you run a spyware and adaware program to see if you have any of this type malware? If so click start, run and type msconfig, click on start up tab and see what is running at start up. You can uncheck one at a time and reboot and check to see which one is slowing your machine down. Hope this helps.
