Slow boot since install

I installed/upgrade (clean install) from XP Prof to Vista Home Prem. and it
seems to take 3-4 min. to get to welcome screen, is this normal? Appears long
to me.

I believe that like XP Vista uses the first 10 boots and later activity to
find out what you normally need loaded and after that t
 
You need to check your bios to make sure that your Vista is first in boot
priority. Should take around 30 seconds to get from the final POST screen
to the Vista welcome screen.
 
In addition, I would run msconfig and see what is in the startup axis. There
may be something incompatible slowing you down.
