slideshow cursor disappears

I'm running Powerpoint slideshows in my church on someone else's PC with a
remote radio frequency mouse.

I have a powerpoint slideshow that transitions to the next slide every 30
seconds and in the master view it has an action button I can click to jump
to a different powerpoint slideshow. But my problem is how to keep the
cursor from disappearing after a transition.

Since it is a church service I don't want to have to right click and show
the menu on the screen when I'm ready to need the cursor to click an action
button to jump to the next Powerpoint slideshow.

How do I keep the cursor visable and active after a slide transition?

Thanks!
Jay

Two ideas:

(1) You don't need to right click. You can just wiggle the mouse, and
the cursor will come back.
(2) The cursor should not go away if you put the presentation in Kiosk
mode (in the Slide Show menu, Set Up Show). This will work for you if
all your transitions are either automatic or done by hyperlinks and/or
action buttons.

Prof. M,
Wonderful! Kiosk did the trick! Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!

Before I did try "wiggling" the remote mouse but it only brought back the
cursor sporadically. So I couldn't rely on it for smooth transitions
between different shows.

I see what you mean about needing to add action buttons or hlinks in Kiosk
mode.

I have one other situation if you have a second to respond: (I really
appreciate it!)

If I have one slide play music - insert sound file - can I get Powerpoint to
fade out the music rather than just dead stop the music when I mouse click
to the next slide? I have this need not knowing when I need to stop
playing the music until the actual presentation happens and it would be nice
to fade out rather than stopping the music abruptly. Or a volume action
button?

Thanks again!

Jay,

I'm glad the kiosk mode worked for you. I'm not sure that there is an
easy way to have a sound fade. Perhaps someone else knows something
about that. But you can get some information about playing sounds across
multiple slides at:

I hope this is helpful.
