Slide transition timimg

I'm running XP with Office 2003, I'm setting up a PP Prsentation, playing
sound with the show, and no matter what I can get the slides to advance,
tried the transitions changes, nothing makes the slides advance, any
suggestions
 
Make sure you sound is set to play across multiple slides (e.g., the number
of slides in your presentation). You probably have it set to *stop* playing
after one slide.
