Hi!

I am making a slide show that I want to add buttons to to hyperlink to
a URL on the same disc. I want to distribute the disc.

The problem is that I am trying to copy the slide show into D?: then
hyperlink to my CD in 'D/: but the programe wont let me hyperlink to
the d/: drive as it says I must consult my admininstrator (I am the
admininstrator).

The other problem I can see is that not everyones CD drive is D/:

Have looked on previous postings and see I should be hyperlinking to
'File' not 'URL' so with the root directory of my 'link to' on the same
disc as the PP show so thats sorted.

However I wanted to link to a directory from where the user can choose
his own files (PDF's). PP 2003 will not let me hyperlink to a
directory, only an individual file. I want to take the user to a
directory with some 6 sub directories and choice of perhaps ten files
in each sub-directory. I could put PP slides in for the directory
,sub-directories and files then link but seems a bit long winded. Any
thoughts?

Put the folder of PDFs in the folder with the PPT file and then create the
link. Right-click the object, choose Hyperlink, then click the folder.

When I just tested here, that opens the folder. It should create a relative
link so that when you move all the files to CD, it should open the folder
properly regardless of the CD drive letter.
