slide presentation goes to normal view after a few minutes

I was showing a slide presnetation. After a few minutes it would
automatically convert to normal view. Itg showed a dialogue box that gave me
the choice to return to slide show. It happened when the show sat idle for
about 10 minutes.

This means that something on the computer is grabbing the focus away from
the Presentation. It could be a screen saver that your IT folks have not
allowed to be shut off, a virus scanner, an email checker, or something
else). I would look for what programs are running in the background when
this happens and try to remove them until the behavior changes.
