Slide numbering

I'd like to know how to specify font size , colour etc on all slide numbers
without having have to do so one slide at a time.
I do know : Insert > Slide Number > Apply To All etc., and I can change
font size etc. But how to " do one, do all " ?

Sorry. I have only 3 weeks experience on PPT. What I know so far are by "
trial and error ' and asking questions in this newsgroup.
Would you provide more in detail as to what to do in Master slide ?

No problem. Here is what to do in PPT 2007:
- VIEW tab
- SLIDE MASTER button (5th from left)
- In the left pane click the top slide (has a #1 next to it)
- Along the bottom should be 3 text boxes. Date, Footer, Slide Number
- Format the Slide Number placholder (has a "<#>" in it) as you would any
standard text box (font style-size-color-alignment-etc.)
- Click the CLOSE MASTER VIEW button (in Slide Master tab) to see formatted
slide numbers

Hope that helps.

Caldo

I have been banging my head against the wall trying to figure out why my
presentation will not update the dates automatically. The presentation was
created in 2003 and I now edit it under 2007. When I go to the slide master
as you describe, I only get one box on the bottom - the one on the left with
the page number.

Any suggestions on how to fix this? All other ones I've tried do not work

I received the help from Troy, may be I can reciprocate.
Caldo,
See if this will help :
Insert tab > click either Date & Time or Slide Number > put a checkmark on
Date and Time, click Update automatically. Also, put a checkmark on Slide
number > click Apply to All ( top right )
You should now have Date & Time at the bottom left, and Page # at the bottom
right.
