slide layout pictures in the task pane are blank

When I try to look at the slide layouts or designs in the taks pane, they
don't show up (although I can select them - I just can't preview them before
selection). Any ideas?

This is getting to be a common problem, there's info here but no definite

Try clearing the TEMP files first (documents&settings/your name/local
settings)
