Slide Advance

I'm in the process of tweaking an old presentation and am a little rusty on
PP right now. I'm having an issue with one particular slide into which I've
inserted a sound file.

Sound is set to play from beginning for 999 slides; in show, the sound file
runs, but the slide does not advance. I have a setting wrong, but have
looked to find it to no avail

Usually, setting "stop after" 999 slides allows the slides to advance while
the music plays. Is that what you have specified?
