I have an optical mouse and when it enters suspend mode it
takes my system off of standby. Any way to keep my system
in standby mode when the mouse suspends itself?

Hi,go to control panel and click the mouse icon then
click on the hardware tab then the properties button then
select the "power management" tab last uncheck the box
which says allow this device to bring the computer out of
standby.

You may want to follow the same steps for the keyboard
but have the block checked so pressing any button "will"
wake your computer.Good Luck

There is no power management tab in the mouse section
only the keyboard section. Any other ideas?

WAG: Get the mouse to suspend before the PC goes standby

Running Windows-based av to kill active malware is like striking
a match to see if what you are standing in is water or petrol.
