Slave Drive Access

my old computers mother board crashed. I have put the old hard drive in the
new computer, the only things I cant get to are my personal fiels, It says
access denied.
I had a pass word to log on to my old computer. is that the problem?

You need to take ownership of the files or folders.

I tryed that and it didnt work
I Had three other user accounts set up, I can get to the dockuments in
each of those files , but the folder that I am looking in says that ther
is nothing in it. my computer was on when the mother borad whent.

Well, were you writing to that folder when the computer failed? Quite
possibly the information in that folder was lost. Copy all the files
that you want while you can and then when all else fails run a chkdsk on
the drive.
