Skype slow down my computer , it causes to restart

I've been using skype for more than 6 months , but recently when I
start it , sometimes my computer restarts and it come up with serious system
error.Also when I start skype my computer begin to slow down ???

Is this issue related to recent update of skype ?

Any idea

Remove Skype and all updates. Power off the computer. Power on the computer
load Windows. Power off the computer. Power on the computer load Windows.
Install the latest version of Skype, power off the computer. Power on the
computer see if it works.
