I just wanted to chime in here and
say that I have tried 3 or 4 different
Skype recorders (paid for two) and
only found 1 that worked.
I run under Windows XP with ADSL
Internet connection at 1.5 mbps Download
and 750 kbps Upload.
I have found that Freecorder 2.3 does everything
it says it does and works. I used Gramophone
and paid for it and EVERY MESSAGE was garbled
and sounded like it was underwater EVEN if the
phone conversation sounded fine in Skype.
I used two other freeware programs with the same
result.
But Freecorder works great!

Only restriction is that you can only record in 64 kb
rate with Free version AND you can only record up
to 2 minute conversations. Thus, I did buy the program...
and before anyone of you a.c.f pursits or fascists gets started,
YES, I did buy it, and yes I am a happy camper.
PS: I have no financial interest in this company and provide
the above information as a public service to all the great
members and visitors to alt.comp.freeware. No flames please.
