skipping cells

i have a list of statistics from a callcenter i work for that are all
in a table in excel, and i want to only select ones that apply to a
monday, 5th of the month and other specific dates (eg bank holidays)
how could i go about doing this or even is this posable?

What do you mean by select? If you mean SEE, then you can use filter
for the dates you want. If you want something else then you must spell
it out...in detail.

no i didnt mean see i ment select so that i could find the average

Assuming dates are in column A and value you want to average is in
column B
=SUMPRODUCT(--(DAY($A$2:$A$100=5),$B$2:$B$100)/SUMPRODUCT(--(DAY($A$2:$A$100=5))
