Skip "choose user?" step?

I have a new computer running XP home. When it starts up it asks to choose
a user. There is only one user to choose from. Can I cause this step to go
away? Small point, but I'm curious about it as much as anything else.

Also, how can I find out if this user is an administrator? And if not, how
would I sign on as an administrator?

The computer came from Dell, and the user was created via a wizard when I
first turned it on.

Also, is there any way to change the "name of the computer?" That was the
first question I was asked, although we have no home network. I gave it the
name of the only user. Consequently I was forced to give the "user" a made
up name.

2. Go to the User Accounts applet in Control Panel and look at the user
accounts. That will tell you whether a user is an administrator or not.

3. To change the name of the computer, go to the System applet in
Control Panel and click on the Computer Name tab. Change the name to
something short with no spaces that you like.
