size of window when clicking on a link within a window

Suddenly yesterday whenever I click a link within a window the new window is
postage stamp size and I must maximize it to see it. How do I get the new
window to open full screen again? I am not aware of changing any settings.

First, *close all other windows*. Now, grab the corners of the window
and drag it to full screen size. Close the window using File>Close, or
File>Exit depending what program you're in. Windows will remember the
last screen size used the next time you open the program.

Thanks Bruce. That seems to have done the trick although I have no idea how
it got changed in the first place.
