Size of setup?

Hi,

I use the Setup project in C# to create a .msi file to be distributed to the
clients.
The size of .msi is 12 MB. This file works fine on all the target machines,
but on the development machine every time I remove the existing .msi (from
add/remove programs) and install a new version, the size increases by 13-14
MB.

Since i have to install the .msi multiple times... this size increase is
causing a lot of problems.... I am already on 110 MB :)

Any ideas what is going wrong? Is the uninstall not working as expected?
Everything is fine on the target machines though!

May I add (e-mail address removed) to the blacklist? He seems to be everywhere!
It's crazy, I have never seen anything like this...

Except it's not just (e-mail address removed). I've seen at least two other
(e-mail address removed) troll posts here today. Hopefully whoever it is will
get bored fairly soon.

(This is not to say there aren't any real (e-mail address removed) posts around.
They're fairly easy to tell apart from the trolls though.)

Frankly, I'm surprised to see him here. He has multiple aliases, as you've
seen, susiedba, dbahooker, aaronkempf, larrylinson and punjab_tom, and
pfc_sadr is pretty new. I'm sorry to tell you he's been trolling over in
the corresponding vb group for at least the last 6 months. He's very
annoying, and he hates C#. He hates VB.Net, too, and thinks MS should go
back to VB6.

I just don't see what you kids are talking about

TOOLS, MACROS, C# EDITOR does not work in Excel, Access, Word,
Outlook, Visio or Project.

It works great for VB!

I can't run C# on the clientside.. can you?
I can run vbScript on the clientside-- in the browser.

how do you feel about using 4 different langauges; ****ing prissy-

go and stick a fork in an electrical socket; C# is for fags

Vb6 does not have this problem

..NET is bloatware; I don't think that you can include the .NET
framework in the setup and allow it to be 10mb

ROFL

..NET framework basically-- it doesn't even work on desktops it doesn't
work on servers..

a) it's not not practical to build apps that rely on the framework
b) there isn't a consistent way to determine which version of the
framework IS installed

does server 2003 have the framework installed? it doesn't show up
under add/remove programs

you're trying to build a MSI for C#?

why don't you just build an EXE and then copy it over? it's really not
that complex

Please don't feed the (dumb) animals. It only encourages them. Like
most 15-year-olds he is desperate for attention and he hopes to get it
here.

I don't hope he gets bored... there's little chance of that. I hope
that he gets LAID... THEN he'll go away.

Of course, there's probably little chance of that, either.
