Size of Database

What is the maximum size a database can be before it
becomes corrupted or impaired? I just converted a database
from Access 97 to Access 2000. In conjuction I switched it
from a Windows NT Server to Windows 2000 server. Having a
few problems. The database is approximately 117 MB and I
have several (approximately 11 linked tables from other
databases) whose size average from 1.98 MB to 10MB and on
an average since I have switched to 2000 I have had to
repair it twice a day. Not to sure what's causing the
corruptions. I have the same amount of users using it as
before and I didn't have any complications. Please advise,
Thank You.

Your network (or a user on that network) is probably the cause of your
corruption.

I have a client who has an Access 2.0 database which connects to 78 other
databases which vary in size from a few hundred MBs to 800 MBs. They've had
1 minor corruption in the 4 years I have been servicing them.

Poor design or a poor network can both contribute to or cause corruption.

Make sure all network computers are running the same version Jet 4.0.
Service Pack 7 is the most recent.

Size has very little if anything to do with the chances of being
corrupt.

Almost certainly the OpLocks problem which hits A2000 much more than
it does A97.
