Sites & Services not consistent between sites

Hi

Over the weekend I was adding a new DC, during the time
that I ran DC promo the VPN went down. I find now that the
DC is in the relevant local version site on sites and
services but not in any of the remote sites. I have tried
forcing replication a number of time but the server will
not appear in any of the remote sites version of Sites &
Services.

I have noticed that the local site has a lower USN then
any of the others for that site and have a feeling that
this is part of the reason why this is not replicating.

What can I do so that the server is added into the
relevant site on all the other remote sites????

Many thanks

Scottie

Look in sites and services on the local dc and see who he has as replication
partners. Right click and force replication. This get all incoming changes
nothing goes out. Now focus the mmc against one of the servers that was
listed. What does it Show. Do you get any error when you select the local dc
under the ntds settings of the current server and select replicate now?

When you say "Forcing Replication" do you mean using REPLMON to sync the
directory partitions?

I had a similar issue, running replmon and forcing a directory partition
sync between site boundaries fixed my problem.

If the VPN connection is online you should be available to sync with the
other DC´s in your network. Check the event log (Directory Services) , may
the replication is blocked.
