Site Statistics - AWStats, other?

Does anyone here have any experience with AWStats
(http://awstats.sourceforge.net/) or other similar packages for site traffic
reporting?

I'm looking to provide statistical reporting on Web site traffic and I'm
looking for recommendations. AWStats looks pretty good, but requires
installing PERL on the server.

Thoughts? Opinions? Perspective?
