Site Problem!

In IE the design looks fine. However on firefox the main content div box thing is too small (height).
In my css file i set it to be 500px. In IE the content box gets bigger as more text is added (this is what i want), but in Firefox the box stays the same size as more text is added.

I know i could set it to be much bigger in the css file, but it would look odd... i want the text just about fits in there perfectly in both browsers.

I know I havn't explained it properly, but could someone try to help please?
