Just guessing, but it might be site redirections used when you arrive at a
landing page for a different site. Bouncing you through a couple of
different sites is a common way to verify traffic, place cookies and
otherwise track a visitor. It may be used by an advertiser who is being paid
(or is paying) for visits through redirections or banners.
