Single space or double before closing salutation- friendly letter

Do I single space or double space at the end of a friendly letter before
'Sincerely'?
 
If it's a friendly letter, it shouldn't matter. I would use double space but
then again no one I write to is going to critique whether or not that is
correct.
 
If you've used extra line space between paragraphs, then I would include it
before the Complimentary Close as well. Otherwise not.
