Hi there,
I have posted a few messages over the last few weeks regarding my employers
IT setup so I was wondering if I could ask you guys just one more thing.
We have a single label domain name and have done from our 2k server days
through to our migration to 2003. I suppose the time to have addressed this
issue would have been during the migration but for reasons unknown this wasnt
accomplished. Our domain does seem to run absolutely fine as it is, but we
do occassionally have DNS problems and despite our clients configured to
automatically update DNS, Dynamic dns updates dont seem to work anymore,
could the single label domain name be a factor?
I have seen the odd article on changing an established domain name, but I've
also heard that its frought with danger, can someone advise whether or not to
go about this and what is the most simplest way?
Or maybe its like my mother used to say..."If it ain't broke, don't fix it!"
Regards,
