Freeware: Programs available to the computing public absolutely free to the
computer user,
most with no annoying popup ads for other have-to-pay-for services.

The following is an unsolicited article about (IMHO) the best single source
of freeware on the web. Apologies are in order if I embarrass the website
author. (I don't even know his name).

THE BEST single site (since 1997) I've ever seen for freeware, reviews, and
uses for
almost every imaginable use of freeware on the Internet. The hours this
person expends leads me to believe he must be a lottery winner or retired
programmer-genius to be able to devote the time necessary to investigate,
test, and recommend freeware to us is either attributed to the previous, or
else we are in the presences of a selfless genius who loves us. It's also
heartbreaking to read about his personal tribulations over certain creature
rights, but I strongly suggest checking him out.

He couldn't recognize me from Adam, neither would he care, if I asked him
to. Especially if the cost would be a subtle adware or spyware program. One
of the strengths of his recommendations are (apparently) his personally
checking each program and identifying spyware/adware. My first choice in
freeware programs is this site (over 1700 in all categories last check).
Also, he recommends Freeware Book 12 (http://www.freewarearena.org/) as a
freeware source for those geniuses still not on his site.

IMHO (Newbies: In My Humble Opinion) it's the best site others wish they
could attain.....

Too bad the site is awfully designed :)
