SimTel Freeware: Xtrans and Active Paper

Clicking on "download" still doesn't work.

Clicking on "download using download manager" just gets an error
message that says you must download somebody's "download
manager" program before you can download.

Unfortunately the homepage only links to Simtel for a download
requiring other action...

reveals that fortunately there are ftp sites that
actually <<have>> it available for download (happy happy joy joy)

What a waste of everybody's time. And a symptom of how Simtel has hit

What a waste of everybody's time. And a symptom of how Simtel has hit
the skids in the past two years....

Every time I post one of the SimTel Freeware lists I wonder if it's
worth the effort. I myself have given up on them a while ago. Too much
trouble to d/l.

What do you all think about my discontinuing these posts? I don't mind
continuing if you think it's worth the effort, but if nobody uses them
I wouldn't mind discontinuing either.

I don't have many problems with Simtel. Also, if people like the sound
of a program then they may be able to get it from someone else, or
another web site, if having Simtel difficulties.

If you don't post then people cannot do that. Because they miss out on
knowing about something that (to them) might be handy.
