help we can not get sims2 on our computer we have all the
right gear but when go to put it on it shows grey box
saying directx compatable graphics adapters not in
computer we have latest directx any suggestions my
daughter got this for her birthday help

I had the same problem on my daughters PC. Had to install a new graphics
card and get the latest drivers from Raedon before it would work. Luckily I
had a spare one in the loft. Minimun Raedon is a 7200 (which is only a
couple of years old).

Even if your system has DirectX 9c on it , you won't necessarily have a 9c
capable graphics card, which was our problem.
