Simple Question on setting a criteria

I know this is a dumb question but I can't remember how to do this (brain is
not functioning today I guess). I need a query to return results where my
DateofDischarge field is empty... in other words the patient has not yet been
discharged. I want to create a version of a report that is for current
clients and does not include those that have already been discharged. I know
that this is a "no brainer" and I'm frustrated that I can't remember what to
put in the criteria for this field.

Put "Is Null" in the criteria.

Thanks Julie - I had tried "isnull" and that didn't work. I knew it was easy
