Is their simple freeware that would enable me to paste assorted small
pics (of no set size) into a blank page for printing out ?

Yup :) Iomega Photo printer - you can drag and drop images from a thumbprint window, arrange as
desired and print. WYSIWYG. Only for .jpg and .bmp images.
