Silent/Quiet PSU

Hi there,

My system is noisey, always has been since i built it, even added sound
proofing stuff etc... still noisey.

I put it down to the 2 cpu fans but i recently discovered it is actuallt my
supposedly "quiet" PSU.

So, i need reccomendations for a psu that will run the following, and be
quiet as possible. I currently use a 520w PSU but i suspect that is
overpowered


2 Athlon MP 2400+ CPUs
DVD ROM
DVD Writer
HDD
FDD
Audigy 2 Platinum (Break out box uses power source same as hdd, cdrom etc)
GF4 ti4200


So not a whole load of stuff, but will be adding a new hdd soon probably

the PSU could be noisy but you should also consider your hard drives and the
fans on your video card and motheboard chipset, any or all of those could be
even worse.

Although, as my earlier post indicated, my system overall is noisy, the
Enermax Noisetaker I am using is whisper quiet, even at its highest speed.
My model is the EG375P-VE-SFMA.

most of the noise is from the psu without a doubt, as when i turn off the 3
fans inside it momentarily of course, the whole system is so so so quiet!
