silent cpu fan for opteron

Any recoomendations for silent cpu fans
for my new dual cpu system that I want to build
(based on Opteron 252's)? (Tyan Thunder motherboard).

I found some with 20db noise using google. Is there
anything better. Anyone has recommendations on
which one to buy?

20db is quieter than ambient in a typical domestic setting so I don't you
get anything much better.
 
There is a tight relationship between db and fan speed/air flow - lower air
flow = high cpu operating temp. Just make sure that the quiet fan you
choose has enough air flow so the cpu temp is what you want.

That said, Intel's max operating temp [as I remember] is ~ 85C. While most
people, including myself, shrink in horror of ever thinking the cpu would
operate above 60C, it really is OK, if you can get comfortable with the
idea.
