Silence Modem

How can I silence my modem during dial up.

Goto in the control panel>>select modems>>and in there u
should have a opition to turn the volume down.

If that doesn't work, go into Control Panel \ Modems\
Modems tab \ Properties \ Advanced
In the extra settings box, put
M0
That's zero, not the letter O.
Okay your way out.

Control Panel
System
Device Manager
Expand Modems
Double clck on your modem
Click on the tab that says Modem
Speaker volume
Drag to Off
Complete Silence
