Greetings Jessica,
The easiest way to stop this behavior is to simply remove your saved .NET Passport
credentials in your Windows XP user account. To do so, click the Start Button, then click
the Control Panel. Then, click User Accounts in the Control Panel. Select your account name,
and then on the left side of the screen, under Related Tasks, click 'Manage my Network
Passwords'. In the window that opens, click the Passport.Net\* (Passport) entry and click
'Remove'.
You'll then need to type in your username and password each time you want to sign in, but at
least you will not have to worry about it automatically connecting.
