Signature with photo includes attachment - why?

When I set up my signature deisign to include links and a
photo, it sends the email with an attachement of the
photo. Why? I don't want to send attachments to my
clients. How can I put a photo in my signature without
having it also send the photo as an attachment? Help and
thanks

An attachment is any file you include in your message. The graphic you are
including is by its nature a file, it is therefore an attachment. Or to put
it another way you can't include an attachment in an e-mail without having
an attachment in your e-mail.

Is there any way to add a personalized signature with
photo (perhaps stationery?) so that you don't end up with
