Signature Reverts to an older version

I am running Office 2000 but with Outlook 2003, all Office 2003 updates are
applied via WSUS and it's usually following some of these updates that the
problem occurs. Following reboot I may find that my Outlook signature (use
Outlook editor) has reverted to a previous version in which the details are
incorrect. I use the same PC, edit only the one signature and I've no idea
what could be causing this.

Help please?

Remove your old signatures from;
C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Application Data\Microsoft\Signatures

I wishit was that simple, however, I only have one signature in this location
and only this one that gets updated, but that reverts back on occasions.
Strange!

Checked the individual htm, txt and rtf version of your signature?
Are you in a corporate environment with roaming profiles enabled? Ask the
admin to verify that your on-line profile is updated correctly.

I hope someone can shed light on this problem, it's bizarre and it's got me
stumped! Today it's happened again to one of our users, after applying some
latest patches/updates via WSUS. The user has just one Windows profile which
is not roaming, and she uses just the one machine. I found just one copy of
the troublesome signature under the users profile (htm, rtf and txt formats)
and note that it has indeed been reverted! Yet the user has previously
updated the signature and overwritten this, it's as though there is cached
version of the previous signature held somewhere else which is being copied
back to the directory...
