SIGNATURE inc's bmp./Never gets to Destination?

I have several versions of signature that include a .bmp, except when I send
them, instead of how I see it artfully displayed, Outlook includes it to the
receiver as an attachment, or sometimes not choosing to, just have some
truncated 'text' versionette of the bitmap.

Any scoops out there in MSland on this failure to deliver ( I prefer two
scoops to one, if youse can spare?). Grazie und Danke Vell for any help you
may provide to end this prob, one of thousands of puzzlers from 'outlook'.
