Signature doesn't automatically appear in new emails

I use Outlook 2003 with Word 2003 as the editor. I have two email accounts,
my personal one and one for the society of which I am treasurer. My default
mail account is the personal one.

Earlier this year I reformatted by hard disk and reinstalled all my
programs. Prior to that Outlook would automatically display the correct
signature when switching to the society account but since the reformat it
doesn't. It will only display the signature automatically if I set the
society account to be the default (which I don't want to do). I have checked
Tools, Options, Mail Format and the signature is there for new message,
replies and forwards.

The correct signature displays automatically in replies and forwards

Any ideas

Kind regards

Tony

Note that you can link a signature per account so with 2 accounts you can
set 4 different signatures;
Account 1: new message signature
Account 1: reply/forward signature
Account 2: new message signature
Account 2: reply/forward signature

Are these all set up correctly?

Found the answer in your howto-outlook site. I didn't have a signature set up
on my personal account. I've now set one up and the society account
automatically displays the signature when composing a new email.

Kind regards
