sign on page

Unable to enter passwords on the sign on page. No cursor in the area where
the password is entered. When the mouse hovers over the white area the hand
pops up. The cursor will reappear after re-starting the system.

I have been having the same exact problem lately. I haven't been able
to enter any passwords into any of the users on the sign-in page. When
I've restarted the computer, everything is fine but what would cause this?

I'm disappointed I haven't received an answer yet. This now happens
every time I log off and another user wants to log on. I must restart
the computer in order to be able to enter my password.
