Yes i tried a (nearly) fully updated spybot and that
didnt work. I ended up
formatting my hard drive out of frustration, and
installed aol first thing to see if it worked, and it
still didn't. The AOL browser works fine, its everything
else apart from that.Oh yeah, i can't access secure sies
either and windows update gives me this error message,
which i cant find anything relevant onERROR 0x800C0005)
I am running Windows XP and AOL version 8

First, uninstall Kazaa.
Then eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each need to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.
