Sidebar Background Color

Initially the sidebar was the same blue as the desktop. Now the sidebar is
white. How can I make it blue again?

I'm not sure* but I think you click on the arrows< > on top beside the + sign to
scroll through the different backgrounds.
(*doesn't work on mine)

I found a workaround.
1. Open Sidebar
2. Right click Gadget
3. From drop-down menu select Detach
4. The Gadget will move to the Desktop
