Side By Side Clip Art?

Greetings:

I wish to insert two Clip Art images into a doc, placing them side by side
across (horizontally) the page. For some reason, I am having difficulty
doing this. I have no problem resizing or placing one above the other. I
just can't get them side by side.

Is there a way?

If they're "In Line with Text," which they will be by default in Word 2000
and above, you should have no trouble provided they're in the same paragraph
and will fit side-by-side. You can position them with center tab stops if
desired. Another method that would be easier would be to insert a
two-column, one-row borderless table and put the images in the two cells.
