Side bar

The side bar in Windows Vista disappeared and I cannot get it back through
control panel or the start menu, nor in program files/windows sidebar. The
program icon disappeared as well.
Is there anyone who has the solution to this problem?

Try this:
Open a command prompt as administator and type cd C:\Program
Files\Windows Sidebar <enter>
Then type the following commands, each followed with <enter>:
regsvr32 -u ATL.DLL
regsvr32 -u sbdrop.dll
regsvr32 -u wlsrvc.dll

regsvr32 ATL.DLL
regsvr32 sbdrop.dll
regsvr32 wlsrvc.dll
