Silly question I suspect, but is there an autohide setting for the Vista
sidebar? Can't seem to find one, but surely it would have one? Thanks.

I think the only option is to have the Sidebar on top of other windows
or not. When you set the Sidebar to not be on top of other windows there
doesn't seem much point in an auto-hide too, as it's only visible when
you're at the desktop.

It does not.

Thanks for the info. I really would have thought an autohide function should
be a standard feature with any sort of side/top/bottom/task/whatever bar,
but maybe that's just me. Personally I prefer to keep it turned off as I
have yet to find a gadget that us really, genuinely useful to me. But again,
that's just me. YMMV, and all that. Thanks again.

If you have no gadgets, then you only see the little black gadget icon at
the top, right? That can't be too bad to look at is it? I don't know of any
way to uninstall that icon - and, maybe someday you'll find a gadget you'll
like.
